Patna,(BiharTimes): The urban development department is to built 102 public convenience centres in Patna. There is a plan is to build such centres in other cities and towns of the state too. Each centres will have lavatories, urinals and basins both for men and women.
In the initial phase 32 such centres are being built in the state capital by Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam. In fact the work would be complete by December 20, They will be built in the places like Maurya Lok, Bihar School Examination Board, New Secretariat etc.

According to the deputy chief minister, Sushil Kumar Modi, who also holds the portfolio of urban development department each convenience centre would cost Rs 18.54 lakh.
Each public convenience centre for men will have four lavatories, five urinals and four basins while each centre for women will have three lavatories, one toilet and four basins.
Public sector companies would be responsible for their maintenance. Arrangements would be made for the running water in these centres.
