Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar State Housing Board has decided to simplify and make smooth the procedure of allotment of houses and plots.
Now the allottees would not face unnecessary troubles as the Board will make speedy transfer and mutation of property. The allottees are now not required to submit the fixed amount in advance before an agreement.

The Speedy Final Transfer Calculation and Mutation scheme will function at the level of the managing director. A cell, with an officer and two assistants has been formed, for the purpose.
According to the Managing Director of the BSHB, Vandana Preyasi, the cell would receive applications and give information to applicants within 15 days of submitting petitions.
The cell would also issue full or final statements about the deposited money. A buyer will have to pay extra money for getting the final calculation statement of the allotted property. The charges would be Rs 5,000 for the High Income Group, Rs 4,000 Middle Income Group, Rs 3,000 for Low Income Group and Rs 1,000 for Janata and weaker sections flats.
She said that under the second scheme the BSHB has decided to do away with the old practice of asking customers to depost and fix amount within 30 days of issuance of the allotment letter and sign an agreement wihin 60 days.
The Housing Board has now empowered the executive engineers to make a final calculation and publish it in the local newspapers. Allotees have been asked to depost the required money with the Board and sign an agreement within 15 days from the date of advertisement failing which the allotment may be cancelled.
If the decision of the executive engineer fails to satisfy the allottees, then an appeal could be made. It will be heard in the BSHB headquarters and the MD will take final decision in this regard.
Preyasi said that in the past those allotted had to move from the Housing Board to the division office for calculation of their principal amount and interest.
