New Delhi(Bihar Times): Nov 16: The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has received over 55 investment proposals from India and abroad in various fields particularly in the food processing. The investors have shown interest in working in places like Pandoul, Hazipur, Patna, Siwan and Munger. |
BIADA has a total of 49 industrial areas in Bihar. Total Acquired land is 477.15 acres and number of units allotted is 1809 and land allotment to entrepreneurs is 2833 .33 Acres.
“We are very much encouraged by the over whelming response in the form of investment proposals Bihar received at the IITF this year by Business Visitors,” said a BIADA official.

Mrs. Anshuli Arya, MD, BIADA who visited Bihar pavilion India International Trade Fair 09 yesterday said that Bihar Govt. was committed to provide better infrastructure, Road and power to investors who were interested in setting-up their industry in the state. The State planned to provide separate power feeder for every industrial area in Bihar after the launching of 1000 MW thermal power plant at Kahalgaon. She further added that Bihar Govt. had allotted 300 acres of land to Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Ltd (APNRL), a part of the Adhunik Metaliks group of companies for setting- up a power generation plant at Kahalgaon in Bihar. APNRL is setting up a 1000 MW thermal power plant based on coal as primary fuel which is expected to be commissioned by June 2011. She explained that entrepreneurs could directly apply for land and investment in the office of BIADA or they could apply on line through website of BIADA.
She further said that Chief Minister had a dream to see Bihar’s food products popular in every state. Bihar is the first state to release an exclusive policy on food industries which enlist an attractive subsidy scheme for investors. BIADA is committed to provide better industrial environment and facilities to the investors and now it is getting positive results as more and more people are coming forward to invest in Bihar.
Another official of BIADA, Indu Bhushan said that Bihar promised much more and there were many sectors with great potential which included Food Processing, Dairy, Sugar, Textile, Tourism, Leather, Biotechnology, Pharma, Service Sector (Hotel, Hospitality) Agricultural implements and knowledge processing outsourcing (KPO).
