Patna: Corporate Infotech Private Limited (CIPL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Bihar to establish a Core Development Centre and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre of Excellence in Patna.
The agreement was formalised during the India AI Summit in the presence of senior state leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Information Technology Minister Shreyasi Singh.
Under the MoU, CIPL will make an initial investment of ₹30 crore to set up the facility, with plans to scale up the total investment to ₹100 crore over the coming years.
The proposed centre will focus on advanced and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, SAP solutions, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data centre operations, and enterprise digital platforms.
The project is expected to generate more than 500 direct employment opportunities in its first year of operations. Over the next five years, the workforce is projected to expand to over 2,000 IT professionals, positioning Patna as a growing hub for technology and innovation in eastern India.
