Bihar on Track for Major Development, Says CM Nitish Kumar

Patna, (BiharTimes) March 10: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said that Bihar is steadily progressing on the path of development with the cooperation of the central government and expressed confidence that the state will soon emerge among the country’s progressive states.

Speaking during his Samriddhi Yatra, Kumar highlighted that several development initiatives and welfare programmes are being implemented across the state to accelerate growth and improve infrastructure. He said coordinated efforts between the state and the Centre have helped push forward key projects aimed at improving the lives of people in Bihar.

Meanwhile, in a notable political development, Nishant Kumar, the son of the Chief Minister, formally joined the Janata Dal (United) on Sunday.

Addressing party workers after joining the party, Nishant thanked supporters and praised his father’s long public service.

“I thank everyone. I will try to live up to the trust you all have placed in me. The entire Bihar and the entire country are proud of what my father has done in the last 20 years,” he said.

Reacting to recent political developments, Tej Pratap Yadav, chief of the Janshakti Janata Dal, criticised Kumar’s reported move to the Rajya Sabha, suggesting that the Chief Minister may be preparing to step down. “He must be wanting to get ousted, which is why he is going out. The double-engine will decide who will become the Chief Minister. The people voted for change in Bihar, but it is not visible. The CM himself is leaving the seat,” Yadav said.
